These gorgeous, standing table ornaments feature a dazzling semi-circle of cowrie shells. Known to be a rarity in antiquity, they were used in many cultures as currency (and still used alongside Rupiah in some remote areas of Indonesia), and have been worn by royalty and kept in homes as a blessing of wealth, and success in life and birth. In Hinduism it is said that they resemble Shiva's braided hair. Made in a traditional family workshop in Papua.
